Enamelware, I am a huge fan! I collect old pieces as well a few new. Something about the weight, the shine, and of course that history. How many people really drank coffee from the pot, or sipped water from a well using that dipper?
I think the pieces are simple yet elegant. I use a few for storage, each of the pieces below is stuffed with kitchen items I use from time to time but do not need to be out taking up space in a drawer or cupboard.
I am quite partial to the colanders and can't seem to leave one at a sale. Most vintage pieces have cost me less than a couple dollars, there are only two of the (vintage) pieces shown in this post that cost a little more. any guesses?
I actually use my pieces, as much as possible, I do most of my chocolate melting in a vintage enamel double boiler. I keep the larger bowls on the wall and every trip to the garden at harvest time I grab one. They return filled with fresh vegetables and what I love is that they can stay on the counter filled with veggies for days looking great.
I enjoy the look of enamelware bursting with produce so I use them for a fruit bowls.
Whether filled with flowers, fruit or just sittin pretty. I love my enamelware! Do you collect?

I love enamelware. My kitchen is just not big enough for all that I love...I have had to leave some behind at the shops so I wouldn't become a 'hoarder'....I so love your collection.
Stunning decor pieces, so rustic and countryish! :D
Hugs,
LOVING your collection and how you have them all displayed. Thanx for coming to THT!
Hi Shannon,
Your collection is fabulous! I had a tiny saucepan at one time but it finally rusted out on me. Now I have a lone cup which I use to scoop out my epson salts. Love it! I enjoyed looking at your enamelware. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi

You have a fabulous collection. I have a few pieces but my best piece is a large pitcher from Germany.
I love your enamelware! I've never seen the cream and green rimmed before - I think I'ver found something new to be on the hunt for. :)
Happy VTT!
I love that green rimmed piece. I have a few pieces, but normally just use them to store stuff. I need to pull them out to where they are more noticeable.
Gosh, I just adore every bit of your place. Job well done! HUGS....

After my husband's grandfather died, we were walking around the 40 acres with his grandmother. At the far back of the property was the "dump," where they were filling a ravine. I picked up a blue and white enamelware pan which had some rusted holes on it. My husband asked what I was going to do with it, and I said use it for a planter. Mamaw said, "well, it already has drainage holes."
Oh I love your collection and how you have it displayed in so many various ways and I also love your tablecloth! : )
You have some wonderful pieces. I have an enamel drinking cup from my grandmother's well. It has to be 100 years old. It sits on top of my fridge as it is all I have of hers because everything was lost in a fire in 1975. You can imagine what a treasure it is to me. I loved seeing all your collection. Just beautiful. Deb (Ontario, Canada)
Love the coffee pot and all those great pans with red rims, really a great display! That big graniteware coffee pot is just wonderful!
Very nice collection! And I like how you display it, especially those hanging on the wall.
I collect vintage children's dishes.

Love your collection! And yes, I do collect. Mostly the red and white. I too love using them for gathering veggies in the garden. They are great for holding onions and potatoes in the pantry. You have done a great job of displaying yours. I hope to hang mine in the kitchen area when we finish our basement. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
Hugs,
Jann
