I love the look of galvanized metal, especially indoors. So rustic, yet complimentary to lace and glass. My favorite pieces are my tools trays, if you have followed me very long you have seen them before. I use them in many ways and they are displayed year round.
Buckets, crates and misc metal pieces also are displayed.

I don't know what it is about galvanized tin, but I'm drawn to it, too. And I just realized, that although I buy it all the time, I'm not using any in my house! Don't know what's up with that. I've got some outside and some in my shop, but nothing inside. I'll just have to remedy that real quick. I love the way you have the silver trays standing in the back. You do have a talent for creatve piling or gathering. At yard sales today I saw several old milk cans, reasonably priced. I was tempted to bring several home, but I already have 2 on my porch.
What a fabulous post! I just adore the mix of textures, the metal, the silver, the lace, wood and candles. I think we are really beginning to understand and appreciate the love of and living with the old and new. Treasuring our past as well as our present in the item we decorate with. Shannon, I really do like the mixture of fun and pretty things in your trays. One thing that caught my eye was the little garland of stars. I have several strands stored with my Christmas decorations up in the attic. They're too hard to get at right now since I don't know which box of about 40 they could be in, but come the holidays, I'm going to leave them out! Thanks for reminding me that I have them. :-)

You must have so much fun finding your galvanized treasures and how well you have used them in your decor. Like you, my daughter loves them and has amassed quite a collection of galvanized objects.

Wow. Gorgeous metal pieces. I'm a fan of anything utilitarian...tool caddies, buckets, and wire baskets especially! I hope to come across a tool holder very soon, especially after looking at how you've lined up those little candles on top. Very pretty! Love the way you've displayed everything. I did not see this type of metal collections which is so amazing. You make metal looks so good & elegant. One of my friend has collection of galvanized objects specially galvanized sheets but i think your collections are better than him.
