I did it, all by myself! I redid the bathroom, no major renovation but a fresh new look all the same.
Going from the blue walls with the ....noisy border.
(walls that used to be pink, bright regurgitated pepto bismol pink)
Yep I did that....I thought at least pink was better than the original silver green swirly leaf pattern that came with the 1970's model mobile home we are in. The pink grew tired real fast and now the blue was wearing out it's welcome......and that border....uffda!

Because this room is directly off our bedroom which is white, I went to the classic look, after all the years living in an apartment wishing for something other that white walls... here I am craving them.
So I stripped the border and covered the hideous pink with Kilz.
Kilz is horrible runny stuff that when spilled on the carpet, does not come out- this is some good to know information to have before hand.
I had to do a little replacing of the slats that keep mobile home walls together. Pressed board and staples....nothing makes ya feel quite as safe as that!
So paint on the floor, paint in my hair, 10 minutes of staring at the chop saw trying to figure out how to unlock it and some very cold cups of forgotten coffee....I was making progress.
Now on to the fun stuff! After the paint, Some vintage mirrors, the first mounted directly on the wall.
The next mounted onto an old cupboard door found curbside earlier this Spring! Score!!
A rake handle and some feminine charm.........
A quilt and some linens draping on a ladder,
A pretty candle chandelier with a splash of pearls
(lights were still being painted sorry for the glare!)
It's done, without my husbands help, advice or "council"
Now...time to soak in the tub with a little tea.

Hi Shannon Sweetie...
Oh my gosh, where do I begin? Everything is so breathtakingly beautiful. Love the paint job, oh and thanks for the tip on Kilz, I will remember that one for sure. Love the mirror on the cupboard door, and how darn clever to add the rake handle. So stinkin cute, I love it. I especially love the little faucet handles on the board at the end of the tub. Oh how sweet is that. Love it.
Your chippy board boxes were so fun and I love the use of the ladder. Oh and before I forget that enamelware bucket for the tp - oh I love that one as well. You did the most fabulous job sweet friend. I loved everything truly, but you sure did get my mind to spinning on ideas.
WOW - WOW - WOW - Sweetie you did great. Thank you for sharing with me this evening. You did a marvelous job. Have a great weekend, and I bet you are enjoying a nice, long soak in that tub about now. Many hugs sweetie, Love, Sherry
Hi Shannon, What a treat to tour your newly decorated bath. I love everything. I have just bought a little wire shelf to sit on the bathroom counter and you have given some great ideas for accessorizing it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Gosh, how I LOVE your new / old bath!!! Beautiful job, Shannon! My fav thing is the pink wall accent with the rake and mirror. Genius idea. Love the bucket of flowers with the chunky wooden posts in it, too!

Wow, I am in love with your bathroom transformation! I think my favorite parts are the wooden door with the old rake as a jewelry organizer (genius!), and the chandelier. I also really love the wooden crates, and all of your other artist touches!!
The mirror on the pink cupboard door is simply "out of this world cute". All of the makeover is so fantastic. Great job.
Nicely done! As a visitor I would have to stay a while just to absorb the ambiance. Good looking chandelier. the colors are delicious.
Fabulous job!
That is an impressive makeover and congratulations on doing it yourself! I love the rake and the ladder. The colors are soft and inviting. Great job!

Nice job "on your own". Be proud, honey!
That is one gorgeous bathroom. I love the rake, and the pink cabinet door that you found. But I really, really love your toilet paper bucket! Very cute idea, which I may have to steal. My husband loves to put the toilet paper roles on the plunger (not a real attractive look).
Oh, so very romantic! I love it!!
very nice job!!!!!
Wow! What a stunning makeover. I love all your accessories especially the rake and mirror. Love the posts you have tucked inside the flowers. Great job!
Pretty as a peach! Looks fab. Love how you said you stared at the equipment needed, trying to figure out how to unlock it. This sounds just like me. I wish this stuff would just tell you what to do until you get the hang of it!
Have a great weekend.

Hey Shannon,
It's susie again, hopefully this comment will go through too.......just wanted to say thank you sweet lady for being my 3rd follower (ok, 2nd, because i was #1.....lololol).... that means the world to me, you are such a doll!....i am a southern girl, born/raised in the south and it touched me so much to see you say ''get some sugar'' and ''bloom where you are planted''.....amen sistah, my grandmommy's words exactly as i've quoted them my whole life....and as she always added "as my mother used to say"....my mother adding "as my grandmother used to say".....we do pass down the good words of wisdom don't we, along with the love <3 I moved to NY for 10 years and as culterally challenging as that was "bloom where you are planted" got me through those feelings of being still in god's ultimate world and plan, but yes, homesick for my southern land....anyway, thank you so much for ''following my new blog'' and i am going to try to go push that buttom and ''officially'' follow your's too......but if i'm not added to your list, cause i mess it up, please just know that i have you on my little sidebar and i have somehow figured out how to see all new posts of those blogs i cherish and will continue to read what you post.....lolol....been reading your blogs for a while now and they are all wonderful....i too make banana bread from my great-grandmother's recipe, so i love your cooking blog too! take care....love and hugs from blogland <3
