A couple more vignettes to show you, Usually I am fairly satisfied with my Christmas decor however this year....it all seems to fall short. I have serious Pinterest envy! There are so many beautifully decorated homes. Perhaps it is also having my son out of the home for the first Christmas and my daughter having signed a lease that will have her moving right after the holiday season that has me a little blue rather than red and white.
I did have a bit of Pinterest influence, working with the items on hand. I love all my old windows and seeing ornaments hang from them was a new touch this year.
bedspring candle holders.....perfect!
I guess I will have a red, white and blue Christmas this year.
Merry Christmas

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
blessings and thanks for visiting

I am in love with that decorated picket fence! Cute!
I hope you get over the blues soon. Christmas is that time where emotions run high. I hope you let it lift your spirits!
XO,
Jane
Do you leave that pickett fence up all year? You sure could. 3 of the 4 homes we have owned have had pickett fences. I love them. Yours is so cute up there.
sorry your feel blue...
I think your vignette looks great, I just love the fence!
These are certainly beautiful decorations.

Shannon, I hear you, loud and clear. The house here is so empty most of the time, but I'm coming to terms with it, ever so slowly. I can tell you this, it's easier to keep the house clean, we haven't been to the grocery store in over two weeks--can you believe that?--and we can (gasp) walk around in various states of undress with no offspring to appall. Ok, not great perks, but still, it's something!
I love your decorations, you are WAY ahead of me in Christmas preparations. I have a stash of old windows and now you have me thinking of things to do with them.
Hugs to you, dear lady!
Sorry you're blue Shannon! Thank God that it's sunny in Fargo today!
Hi Shannon...
Well dear friend, I have spent many years now with my children grown and away from home. In fact, they all live 1200 miles away. But...this Christmas I am going to Texas to be with them. It has been many years since we have all been together at Christmas! Sooo..I'm pretty excited! The great thing about Christmas is...family gathers together. Although your children maybe leaving the nest...they will return for Christmas! A reason to rejoice!
I really enjoyed your beautiful Christmas, dear lady! I love how you used the old window as part of your mantel decor! The Christmas ornaments look so pretty hanging on the window! Ohhh...and the picket fence is awesome! I also like the golden wire Christmas trees...very pretty! A beautiful mantel...a sooo many pretty Christmas vignettes...thank you for sharing them with us!
Warmest Christmas Wishes, dear lady! May you and your family have a truly sweet and blessed Christmas!
