Chalk Board Sign- For Home and Wedding

I saw this great wall hanging last fall at a sale. Her price was more than I wanted to pay. The lady mentioned she was at the end of her sale and really wanted to get rid of things- I told her I loved the frame but only had $2.00 on me. She said- SOLD- a great deal from her original $20.00 price!

I really did like the picture but it just isn't anything I would hang in my place.

I covered it in chalk paint- Black on the writing surface and grey on the frame. I taped the yellow trim that was already there and left it as an accent.

Now it is ready for the upcoming wedding of my daughter.

You did score. It's always smart to ask! It looks like a million bucks now. I love the color you picked with the chalkboard! That quote at the bottom is adorable! Love it!

Cute!
I like the color too.
How did you keep the yellow from being covered?
looks to thin to tape; did you use vaseline?
just curious, Pat

love that frame. Love your ideas for your daughters wedding.
I know it's fun. My niece got married last year and it was fun getting together making items for it.
