Wedding Planning Winding Down

The Photo booth finished! Except now we have to take it down and reassemble at the site when it is time.  Last year I had found the pink center door sitting by a trash can and nabbed it! The other two doors came from our recycle Restore. They were on sale for 7.50 each.
They came with a good coat of dirt and one was a tad too tall so my husband trimmed it.
yes only 2 days before the first day of Spring- today...and it still looks like this here.
It is 10 am and zero.....enough said.

Next he placed hinges with removable pins for easy set up and take down, the doors are old and heavy and no way could you tote more than one at a time.

A few touches were added like a Spring basket of flowers....the only thing that will be blooming around here for a while!

A coat of chalk paint on one door and a large frame that will be used by guests for their photos. The light will not go there...I just wanted to show it to you.

I found it used for 20, In perfect working order, leaving everything in tact I simply glued insulators and an old bowl over the cardboard already there, keeping all electrical components from being touche by candle wax.
I also gave it some pink paint and we are planning on using this for the unity candle ceremony.

Our centerpiece Spring button flowers are resting in vintage glassware.

Most of the wedding things were moved over to my daughter's new spare bedroom, but a few things linger.... The two end row runners look kind of sweet where they are for now.

but...the room really looks like this...... with company on the way it is time to start finishing up and packing it down! 16 days and counting!!!!

The program station has taken over the kitchen.
 along with the button flowers.

and to keep it interesting a batch of cake pops for church group tonight and make ahead meals for company!

I am starting to get the question "what are you going to do with yourself when it is all done?"
Not a dang thing!
I plan on eating left over cake,
hopefully seeing Spring so I can garden, garage sale, get my ETSY up to par, and maybe doing a little house cleaning!

What is the #1 thing I learned this week?  People are NOT Good at RSVP's!!!!!
But....I have also been guilty of this...not so much in weddings but ya know...home parties. If you have an RSVP request sitting around you have not gotten to, do the host a favor and respond if you please!

 please.

I can tell from your writing voice you are very excited about the wedding and all the prep work. Love the photo booth doors. Don't tell your Restore, but ours sells those doors for $150 and up. Yes, one hundred and fifty dollars!

What a great idea. I'm sure the guest will love it.

That picture booth idea is just perfect--I love it!

Love your picture booth idea. How can you not love old doors. I just got one last night that was being thrown out. Yeah for me.
Good luck with all of it.
Have a nice weekend,
Bev

That's for sure! I've decided to give up on RSVP! Love the doors - what a dear you have in your husband to get out in the cold and snow to trip them then put them together - beautiful idea! Having done our daughter's wedding I know there's an aweful lot of work that goes into it - well, well worth it! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy

Love everything you and your daughter have done for her wedding. My DD was married last October and we did lots of burlap, white pumpkins, and vintage silver. It was a ton of work and I'm glad we did it, but am also glad I don't have to do it again. LOL. Oh, and the RSVPs we didn't get back - I was amazed at how many weren't returned. I will always respond to them from now on.
