If you had told me a few months ago I would ever have a mannequin in my house, I would have told you...NO way!
I had been noticing on blogs the lovely dress form ladies and how desirable they were to others, I always thought, if I ever come across one I will have a big decision whether or not I get it.
I did not find a fancy dress form, but I did find a manne, just sitting at a garage sale.
Now, had I not been getting ready for my first booth, I probably wouldn't have looked twice, but, I thought..."that could be an interesting piece, for sale or display"
So...I bought her. She (Lolita) had her name in glitter on her hiney, and a glitter flower on her chest.
I scraped them off and set to work decoupaging her with old music and book paper.
Adding some flowers from wall paper samples, along with a necklace and crocheted neck piece, she is mighty spiffy now.
In fact, I rather like her, and I am not sure I want to sell her.
Question
if you are a booth owner of any type, what would you sell her for?

You've made her so lovely (the rose on her butt is so cute!) how could you let her go! She'd be cute at home or at the shoppe. Put a nice price and if she sells, fine. If not you get to use her in displays. Great job!
Hugs,
Patti
I would never have thought I'd be one to own something like this either but after the way you've dressed her up if I passed your booth I'd buy her.. She came out beautifully!
I kinda wish I had HER shape-except I would like a head, and limbs, of course. She is a beauty...isn't it funny how we desire something we thought we would never think about having? xo Diana
I tend to hang onto pieces that I can use for display. They just don't come along very often.
Great job! She's utterly transformed! x
Oh my word, she is so pretty. What a great idea. Thanks for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
Wow, just beautiful! I wish i could happen upon a manne someday. Thanks for sharing.
Be blessed, Lorena
What a transformation! If I had put that much work into her I wouldn't want to sell either!

Love your Lolita! I have been wanting to do this too... considered buying a tabletop mannequin but I want a vintage one! I have a full size one I got at a barn sale and it is just standing there....love how you embellished yours! Visiting from What's It Wednesday!
She is looking good...too good in fact. I think I might get jealous having her around! Ha! Thank you for sharing it at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Deborah
nicely done!
Oh she's a beaut all dressed up in her paper gown. Love the addition of the flowers. I am getting one on a stand tomorrow. Got a great deal from my friends, Aunt Bunny. Not sure about the ones without the stands, but the ones with go for $100 or more. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Shannon, you've got a beautiful work of art there. I don't know if I could sell her, either, she's too pretty. (And I wish I had her figure, lol!)
I have an old dress mannequin I nicknamed Annabelle who sits in the sewing room patiently waiting for new clothes to be sewn for her to model. She's had a long wait lately, not much sewing going on.
Great idea, Shannon!
What a fabulous transformation. If you don't sell her, she would be a great way to display things.
You did a great job with her. Love how you adorned her with flowers and the necklace.
