North Dakota Figs?

 FIGS




 

This is my fig tree..... it grows in my house in North Dakota..where figs don't grow.
It came from Mississippi and made the journey a couple summers ago.
ooooh! a closer look and we see FIGS!!
A ripe Fig! who would have ever thought....on such a tiny little tree.

Yum...have you ever eaten a fresh fig?

Well I did....this one.

A couple other finds in the garden today.
Broccoli

Sugar snap peas.
All much too healthy, I think I need............



 a cookie!

Figs--fresh, I love them. They taste really different from the dried ones. We have two tiny ones growing in our yard, but we have moved them too many times!! (not going to explain why---any who we need to replace ours now!) I love fresh figs! Happy B day tomorrow.!!

Oh how wonderful to have home grown figs. That is just super. All the other wonderful veggies look fabulous too. I love being able to go out into the garden and have fresh veggies. We can't grow all that much here in the desert, but boy, I sure do enjoy what we have. Hope you have a fabulous 4th. Hugs, Marty

I love your fig tree, Shannon! As a child I remember having one in our yard in South Carolina~ but I was too fussy to eat them then, LOL! I'd love to have a tree now...but they won't grow in Minnesota either... Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your nice comments!

I thought when someone saw my post they might think I was also turning 50....not yet!! I will be 44. Linda....you can grow one in your house too!
