It is not Spring here.

Nope, not yet.....we still have lots of snow and it was -11 this morning. If you live in North Dakota it is a bad idea to get Spring fever until at least half of March is over!!
But I have these lovely photos from my step mom and dad's yard .......they live in Mississippi. These are from last year but I bet it is just as nice this year. *sigh*

I love wisteria.....it will not grow here in this climate. too bad, it is so beautiful!

here in ND........I am waiting for the rhubarb..it is the first to make an appearance, maybe in 6 weeks???

Coffee Bag Bulletin Board

I picked up a regular bulletin board at the local thrift store and used a coffee bag from my favorite coffee shop to dress it up a bit.

Remove frame and cut bag to fit, leaving enough room on side to help the frame have a good hold on it.  I did run a light coat of glue around the edges and let them set with clothes pins for about 20 min.

Using scraps from the rest of the bag and another. I made a pocket by cutting a tag board base, using the seam with a tag still on it for some character and a natural edge. This was glued onto the tag board until it set. Using another bag for the word espresso and fraying the edges gave a little extra, this too was glued on.

Next cut a yard stick and add some cafe curtain hooks. Affix with glue and a nail or screw.

And there it is.

Coffee Talk

Mmmmm coffee. How do you like your coffee? Dark French roast? Lots of cream and sugar? Flavored or regular only?
I was talking with a man in a waiting room. He asked me if I noticed how coffee had changed lately. I said yes.....my thinking was that in general coffee has gotten better. Even McDonalds has jazzed up java.
His point of view.....coffee had gotten terrible because it was all so dark now. I laughed and told him that was the good stuff.  He disagreed stating he liked coffee you can see through.
Um...that is tea I said.

We laughed. I asked if he liked dark chocolate? Sure!
I told him it was better for you so dark coffee must be too, especially if you add a little cream.
He got up and kicked me.....and said, "I don't want to talk to you anymore."
Yep he really did.

It was all in humor and the kick was actually more like a foot to foot nudge. You gotta have humor when your sitting in the cancer treatment center.
I was just there for a B12 shot.

So he drank his "tea" and I ......went to the store and bought this!
Just like the little creamers, you can now add a dose of serious caffeine!
Look...it even comes with a warning. LOL limit 2 a day. Yeah one trip to your favorite coffee shop for a venti Americano outdoes that for sure.
So, my favorite at home coffee is the dark French roast with sugar free caramel syrup, a dash of real cream and maybe a tub of Stok now.
How do you take your coffee?

Featured Bloggers and a Question

Oh how I wish I could go outside and pick some fresh flowers.

Oh how I wish I could upload some more photos. Have any of you run out of space on Google and had to buy more? I guess I have because I can't upload any new ones. So another question, can you delete them or will that delete them from the entire blog and the posts? I don't have a clue. I would love your help!

My daughter started a blog. Chick in a Fedora, I hope you will stop by and say Hello. She only has a couple posts so far so I know encouragement would be appreciated. I hope you will read her first post The hope of Dogs and Humans, I think she did a great job. She is such a wonderful girl, with a great sense of humor  and I am so proud of her in so many ways.

One of my favorite blogs is Dear Daisy Cottage, if by any chance you haven't visited Kim there be sure and stop by to see her exquisite photography and catch up on Maggie and Marley!
