I am still working on things for my first upcoming booth. It will be a one day deal and if I don't sell anything....I am going to be out of room to live in! It really is fun creating all day, but without a garage or storage unit...it is getting very cramped!
One of the doors we used for my daughter's wedding has been revamped into a few pieces, based on the feedback from my rake/mirror piece in my bathroom, I decided to make a couple more like the one below.
In the above photo I used the flaw of the door, the large crack, as an asset rather than tossing it out. A large crack illustrates that something still has value and charm. Just like us, even with a few cracks we can be God's work of art!
Now this piece is a true junk charm. I shall see if anyone else thinks so. I love pieces a little out of the ordinary and this fit the bill.
A new coat of paint and a little distressing was first, I then applied and sealed some yardsticks to the top to cover the deep groves in the top of the sawhorse.
I can see it as a fun book shelf, a great plant stand or a display in a man cave or child's bedroom.
I also came across a great sale a couple weeks ago with super fun items! Here is the stash!!
I am to the point where I have to start pricing now...that terrifies me! I have no idea, I mean, I know prices I would expect to see on some of the pieces, I know the general rule of thumb for pricing. The cost and time times two stuff, but, I just worry, I want to make money, I want to be compensated for my time and I want to sell things.....not come home with all of it.
Any advice? Also any booth advice you have would be great!!! thanks everyone.

I love how you have transformed everything into one of a kind pieces! Good luck with your booth.
Looks like you have some great items and I hope you do well. Some tips from another dealer...style your booth...it means a lot to the customer...try to have some things that you don't have much money in (as free items)...it really helps out at the end=profit. Thanks for sharing at my party.
Blessings,
Linda
Love the sawhorse, especially the yardsticks, so innovative.
Once did a whole Women's Ministry meeting around cracked pots. We are all cracked pots, lol.....
Have fun with your booth, I have a lot of anxiety about pricing also!
Best wishes for a great show,
Theresa @ Finding Grace, Going Mobile
Love the transformations on all your creations, especially the sawhorse. Thank You for sharing and good luck with your booth!

Wow Shannon this is an awesome transformation. I am so sure your booth will be great what ever you decide.

Oh I'm loving the yardsticks on top. So cute for many uses.

I love the sentiment and the look of your cracked pot project!
Great stuff! Linda is right - staging your booth is key. It took me a long time to realize that not everyone has a vision for putting things together so you need to show them how. I've seen people buy entire vignettes.
Pricing is very area specific. I am in 2 shops about 10 miles apart and I price slightly differently for each. In this area I would price the saw horse around $79 and the mirror around $69.
Oh girl!
I knew you'd make your stuff look great! You always do.
Now as to pricing...it is so hard.
You want to make a profit.
You want to sell.
But...
You don't want to give it away either.
I must say make sure you price it high enough is important. If you have your stuff marked too low...people don't want to buy either!
It's hard. And I don't have any advice. Just wishing you well with all of it.
also, I agree with what has been said already, styling your booth...staging vignettes...definitely should do that.
I don't know if you have any vintage sheets...but these make nice curtain, drapes to hide uprights supports that you may not want to show. Or cords etc. Just plain white sheets work too. Even if you only have a few sheets cutting them lenghtwise to get more mileage might help with draping etc.

Shannon, I love the sawhorse project. You don't see sawhorses made that well these days. It turned out beautifully. It will be a quick sell.
Love your stash! I am sure you will be sold out before noon.
Have a blessed day,
Ginger
I know what you mean about having more items & ideas than space. I had a storage full of items from my shop. I thined it out and got rid of the unit. But now I have collected more items. Even the cost of the smallest unit is still out of my reach till my etsy shop brings in a little bit more. But that doesn't stop me from hitting the yard sales, they are even calling me now! I got a call this morning about a sale startng in the morning....Good Luck You'll do great!!

Good luck with the pricing, Shannon. You have great things and I think, priced properly, you won't be bringing a single thing home- xo Diana
Lovely I too am running out of space!
You should do well with your sale. All the items are great.
Good luck with your endeavor. Such lovely pieces.
LOVE that sawhorse side table!! Cute, cute, cute :)
Two great pieces. I especially like the sawhorse, and love the yardsticks for the top. I'll bet you will do really well at your show. I am in the middle of deciding to do shows, or join a craft mall downstate. Craft shows are exhausting and unpredictable, but the mall is at least a 6 month commitment.
Thank you for sharing it at What We Accomplished Wednesdays. Have a great week!
Hugs,
Deborah
How fun! I passed on a bed springs myself a while back, but sometimes wish I had not~ Thanks for linking in with VTT!
Shannon, you have really created some fun things. My fav is the rulers on the sawhorse! Love the cracked pot idea. Thanks goodness the good Lord does see value in all of us! I actually bought a cracked, well chipped pot today at T.J. Maxx. It was on clearance for $8 and I just thought it was too cute, chip and all! I usually try to look at an item and think what I would be willing to pay for it. I think you will have a pretty good idea. Best of luck and thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
